Visiting Snowmass Village
Snowmass advertises itself as
defying belief, and skiers worldwide would agree. The mountain features a large variety of runs, such as the
Big Burn, which is known as the widest open run in the West. Located nine miles from Aspen, Snowmass Village
offers a great central location to enjoy the runs at Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk as well
as Snowmass itself. In fact, 95% of Snowmass hotels are ski in/ski out. While winter is king in Snowmass,
don’t forget that the resort doesn’t close when the lifts do in April. Summer in Snowmass offers tons of
activities and events. The Aspen Music Festival runs for six weeks during the summer, and draws thousands of
visitors each year. It is comprised of over 200 events (some free), including recitals, concerts, operas,
lectures, discussions, and master classes. Performances take place at a variety of venues, but a majority
of them occur at Harris Concert Hall and the Benedict Music Tent. Whenever you decide to visit Snowmass
Village, you’re sure to find plenty of things to experience
